About the Foundation
The East Mississippi Veterans Foundation leads the effort to build the East Mississippi Veterans Memorial Park in Meridian, Mississippi to bring honor, recognition and remembrance to those men and women, past and present, from Meridian and East Mississippi who served in our nation’s U. S. Armed Forces. This perpetual memorial is intended to salute the service and sacrifices of all who served as well as their families and friends.
With the creation of the East Mississippi Veterans Memorial Park, it will cultivate a community with a sense of generosity and relentless pride for those who unselfishly gave to ensure the freedoms of our great United States of America. The Foundation will promote a culture that will shape a better future. The Foundation will be a integrate neighbor of the community supporting efforts to stimulate local economic development, strengthen livability and showcase our unique and one of kind Memorial Park that will increase visitors and tourist to the area. Our theme is to HONOR-EDUCATE and INSPIRE.
HONOR – Be a perpetual Memorial that will display respect, remembrance and gratitude to area patriots that without reservation or hesitation, served our nation with dignity and loyalty.
EDUCATE- Be a platform displaying our area's rich military heritage and benefit area educational institutions with a robust resource to enhance learning. This venue will be a learning environment that helps reveal history that has had a long-term impact on our nation’s founding and present existence.
INSPIRE- Provide a lasting impression to younger generations of the priceless services and sacrifices that forged our freedoms that may enhance their willingness to act and do the same.
The East Mississippi Veterans Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, was established in December 2018 for the purpose of developing and constructing a perpetual Veterans Memorial Park. Our board consist of active service members and veterans that want to instill a sense of community pride to ensure that our fellow service members and veterans receive respect, recognition and appreciation for their unselfish service to community, state and country.
